Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport has more in store for you than just getting from here to there
Whether you are a full-time Business Owner Betty — or Corporate Office Cathy with a part-time business on the side — you know

Packing up and hopping a plane may not be the most joyous item on your weekly To Do List. But at least when you pass through or land at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport — the busiest airport in the world — Demetria Wideman, concessions marketing manager, knows just how to make your visit convenient and, yes, even a bit relaxing. “Women most certainly have a lot to take advantage of when they come to the [Atlanta] airport,” she says.
Once you arrive at Hartsfield-Jackson, there are a few stops you have to make, from parking to checking-in for your flight. And both can be made easier with a little research before you leave home.
Consider the Park-Ride Reserve Club to make parking at the airport a breeze. For about $124 in annual membership fees, you can enroll in this program online or by calling 404-530-6725. From there, you’ll have a guaranteed place to park every time you fly. This amenity is located on South Terminal Parkway, which is only minutes from the terminal. One of its many complimentary shuttles will pick you up from your car and drive you over to the terminal. Similarly, when you return to the airport, a shuttle will be waiting to take you back to your car. Since the rate to park each day is $12, this program is best suited for you if you travel at least 12 days per year.
Now, to make checking in simple there are two online options, Trak-a-Flight and Trak-a-Line, that you can take advantage of to get through security and to your gate faster. Trak-a-Flight will provide you the most updated information on the status of your flight such as whether your plane is on time, delayed, cancelled or has changed gates. Then, Trak-a-Line, enables you to get updated security wait times.
If you make it through security with time to spare, visit the bevy of shops and restaurants on each concourse, which are suited for just about every need.
Last spring Hartsfield-Jackson wrapped up renovations to its concessions line-up, which brought in about 80 new shops. “The spas have been a great addition to our airport. XpresSpa [has] two full-service spas. They have whatever you want, from a full body massage to facials. They do manicures and pedicures,” says Wideman, the concessions marketing manager. “Women most definitely take advantage of these services because it’s great for wind down time between flights.”

Get beautified even more at one of the specialty shops, such as The Beauty Lounge, which carries Kiehl’s and Lancome products. While you’re shopping, don’t forget to do a little sightseeing at Savannah Candy Kitchen and Georgia Aquarium’s Beyond the Reef.
Another option to try while you are waiting to board is Minute Suites, which is the first amenity if its kind at any airport. These private soundproof mini hotel rooms are where business travelers can go to work, relax or catch a catnap. From time to time, Hartsfield-Jackson concessionaires offer money-saving deals, promotions and offers so before you leave for the airport check for ways to save on these amenities.
“We have tried to leave no stone unturned when it comes to catering to our women passengers,” says Wideman. “And, we hope they are able to take advantage of all of our amenities.”
